FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fudge Factory to stay open Thanksgiving Day

The Fudge Factory will open on Thanksgiving Day for limited hours so local customers can purchase fudge to go with their holiday meal.

The store will be open an hour early, at 9 a.m., and then close at 3 p.m.

“People want to get a fresh product for their Thanksgiving meal,” said Sheri Erfourth, The Fudge Factory owner.

Opening the store on Thanksgiving is a tradition that the founding Erfourth owners have done in the past. Since Sheri and her husband, Geoff, took over two years ago, they decided to continue the tradition.

Thanksgiving is also the day the owners get ready for Black Friday. Christmas decorations will go up in preparation for the Christmas shopping season and the fudge maker makes fudge to be stocked up for Black Friday.

The Fudge Factory is a family-owned business at the Sponge Docks in Tarpon Springs, Fla. The business has been making its own fudge the old-fashioned way, with no preservatives or additives, only cream, sugar, Hershey’s Baking Cocoa and other natural ingredients since 1988. The business carries 14 flavors. The fudge does not need refrigeration and does not melt. The Fudge Factory offers its fudge in store or online at floridafudgefactory.com or by phone at 1-800-257-4571 or 727-934-8196.
